DIIV-Doused

I’ve posted the first single from Beach Fossils guitarist Cole Smith and his new project and now here’s the second song from their upcoming debut Oshin. Recently the band has decided to change their name from DIVE to DIIV, and while the music will still remain the same the new name shows a new outlook for the group. “Doused” certainly has a different sound from the jangly dream pop track “How Long Will You Know” with it’s ominous atmosphere and post punk/new wave vibes. Maybe it’s just me but this track seems to touch on music all the way from the 80’s up to the early 2000’s which I think is just amazing. I’d definitely recommend this for fans of Joy Division, Interpol, Grooms, and Half String. Expect Oshin to drop on June 26th.
