Minus The Bear-Lonely Gun

Chances are that if you’re a fan of the ever so popular indie genre or just music in general that you’re probably familiar with Seattle five piece Minus The Bear. The band has been taking listeners to far off places full of wonder and relaxation and providing some of the most sophisticated, libidinous tunes in the scene ever since 2001. With every album the group to date they’ve seemed to equally progress in both sound and content and after their fourth release Omni back in 2010 I for sure was wondering what they’d come up with next. Well on August 28 Minus The Bear will be dropping the follow up release titled Infinity Overhead and judging from the zealous album title it’s looking to be another great addition to their discography. “Lonely Gun” is the first track from the LP and it shows the band experimenting with more of a progressive/electronic sound than past material. While it may come off as simple, the single still does a fine job of representing MTB at their core while offering a glimpse into somewhat newer territory. I can already tell that this is going to be one release that I’ll be playing over and over for quite some time.
