QUALMS-Pressure

I’ve been turned onto the snyth heavy, dream pop sounds of Easton two piece QUALMS ever since I first came across their 7” split with Orca Orca sometime last year and after just one listen to their incredibly smooth track “Ghost Bones” I knew that this would one group that I’d certainly keep my eyes and ears on. Ever since March Darin Thompson and Justin Mantell have been working to put together their debut LP and with the duo having finished the process back in June, their first full length Honeylung, was finished. There’s no set release date just yet, but already the band has delivered their first single from the album and it perfectly showcases a more improved sound from QUALMS that also promises to excite fans and get them ready for what’s to come. “Pressure” is a sensational pop gem that’s enveloped by a vivid atmosphere and driven by infectious synth lines & captivating vocal harmonies that are sure to get you off of your feet. I get the feeling that a lot of you will be spinning Honeylung over and over when it drops but while you wait for it’s release head over to bandcamp and pick up “Pressure” for a “name your own” price.
