SNOWMINE-Suacer Eyes

Sometimes you just need that perfect track to get the day started right and I’ve found just that from Brooklyn five piece SNOWMINE. I’ve been a fan of these guys ever since I heard their first LP Laminate Pet Animal earlier this year and back in April they dropped the fresh new track “Saucer Eyes” along with a psychedelic take on Twin Sister’s “Meet The Frownies”. The band incorporates their own unique feel on the ever popular indie pop sound by adding beautiful ambiance, soothing harmonies, and rich electronics that help to emit vivid imagery throughout each track. SNOWMINE often reminds me of a less folky Fleet Foxes or a more dynamic Death Cab For Cutie but regardless of comparisons they’re certainly a band to look out for. Cerulean-Fucking Wind

Since I missed out on posting yesterday, today I’m going to post a few more songs than often. Starting things off this morning is a track from Elliot and Marilyn Baker, a brother/sister duo from Denver that go by the name of Cerulean. “Fucking Wind” is the band’s first single and it’s just in time for the start of the summer. The track is layered with lush, breezy sounding synths and soothing vocals wrapped up in a beautiful dream pop atmosphere. I hope to hear more from Cerulean in the near future but for now you can head over to bandcamp and grab the track for free. Also be sure to check them out on soundcloud.
