FLUX

CASSETTE REWIND: FLUX

Originally this was my fourth mixtape but since I decided to not post Beamz anymore it’s now my third instead. There’s some greenville local talent to be heard from two producers that I know work hard and love their craft, Brooks Brackett & Rich Engli$h. Furthermore there’s a wonderful cover of The Weeknd’s “The Morning” by SASKATCHEWAN, a personal favorite of mine. Other artists include TOP GIRLS, Lemonade, Moon Bounce, PERSONA LA AVE who does great work with an Aaliyah sample, and a lot more. As always support the artists any way you can and feel free to like and reblog!

Taste Water, Glow Blue

Selva Oscura-Taste Water, Glow Blue

Here’s another artist that I’ve kept my ears on lately and just a few days ago he dropped an fresh track for all of us. Selva Oscura is the moniker of Ray Levinson, a young producer currently signed to Chill Mega Chill who excels in making gorgeous ambient chillwave beats. His first ep AS/IS/WAS dropped in June of last year and now Levinson is at work on a debut album which will be titled REFRACTIDES. “Taste Water, Glow Blue” is the first taste of that and if it’s any indication of what will be heard in the future than I’m preparing to be dazzled once again. The beats are lush and crisp with a slight groove that compliments the glowing electronics amazingly. I get the feeling that I’m floating through a crystal blue ocean with the breeze moving just right and without a single care in the world. I’d highly recommend headphones against speakers for this one and you may want to play it a few times to perfectly grasp the feel. Visit bandcamp to grab AS/IS/WAS by naming your own price and head over to soundcloud to hear more.
