One thing that I love about coming home is hearing new music that my friends have recent discovered. Today we were listening to this band and I was instantly hooked. The name of the group is The Dead Revolt and they’re a three piece progressive band from Houston. They definitely sound similar to The Fall Of Troy and The Mars Volta but they also have their own unique feel and that’s what sets them apart as an individual band. The main thing that really sticks out to me though is how they often times hint at influences from some late 60’s early 70’s rock bands like Led Zepplin and Black Sabbath. Their debut album The Substace of Things Not Seen as well as their sophomore album Vaixer are both available on bandcamp for whatever price you choose to pay.
